Invicta Lithium Batteries & Inverters | Frankies Auto Electrics

Q: What are the benefits of LiFePO4 lithium batteries over lead-acid or AGM?

LiFePO4 batteries are lighter, offer greater usable capacity, and last significantly more charge cycles than lead-acid or AGM batteries of the same size, making them well suited to 4WD, caravan, marine and golf cart power systems.

Q: Are LiFePO4 batteries suitable for deep cycle use?

Yes. LiFePO4 chemistry is designed to handle regular deep discharge and recharge without the capacity loss that lead-acid batteries experience over time.

Q: Do LiFePO4 batteries need a special charger?

Yes. LiFePO4 batteries require a charger set to a lithium-specific charge profile, as their voltage and current requirements differ from lead-acid charging.

Q: What's the difference between a pure sine wave inverter and a modified sine wave inverter?

A pure sine wave inverter produces a clean waveform suited to sensitive electronics and motor-driven appliances, while a modified sine wave inverter produces a stepped waveform that is cheaper but can affect the performance of certain devices.

Q: Why choose lithium over lead-acid for 4WD, caravan or marine power?

Lithium batteries offer a better power-to-weight ratio, faster recharge times and a longer overall lifespan, which reduces the total cost of ownership compared with lead-acid alternatives over time.
