Shield Max material around the speaker mounting area eliminates panel vibration and creates an airtight seal to recover bass response lost through gaps, with remaining material applied behind the speaker to absorb backwaves.

Speaker foam strips create a secondary airtight seal between the speaker and mounting plate.
