MAG or Original? This head is built for Quad Lock MAG cases. If your case has no round ring set into the back, it is an Original case and the standard Quad Lock Wireless Charging Head QLH-WCH-2 is the better match.

Fitting it

Remove the existing head from your car or desk mount, fit the MAG Wireless Charging Head with the supplied M5 screw and 3mm hex key, then run the USB-C cable to a USB power supply. A fast charge capable supply gives the best charging speed.

What else you need

A Quad Lock car or desk mount, a Quad Lock MAG case and a USB power supply. The power supply is not included.

Pair it with a Quad Lock Adhesive Dash and Console Mount or a Quad Lock Suction Windscreen and Dash Car Mount, and a MAG case such as the Quad Lock MAG Case for iPhone 17.

Questions we get asked

Do I have to twist my phone on like a normal Quad Lock head?

No. The MAG head uses strong magnets, so the phone in its MAG case snaps into line as you bring it close. There is no twist to lock it on.

Will it charge my phone in an Original Quad Lock case?

No. This head needs a Quad Lock MAG case, which has the round magnetic ring in the back. For an Original case, choose the standard Quad Lock Wireless Charging Head QLH-WCH-2.

Can I put it on my motorcycle or pushbike mount?

No. Quad Lock rates this head for indoor use only, so keep it to the car and the desk. Riders should look at the Quad Lock motorcycle charging range instead.

Does it come with a plug for the car or the wall?

No. You get a 1.5m USB-C to USB-C cable, a hex key and a screw. Plug the cable into a USB power supply, ideally one that supports fast charging, to reach the higher charging speeds.

Can I use my phone sideways for maps or video calls?

Yes. The magnetic mount holds the phone in portrait or landscape, so you can turn it to suit the app you are using.
