Product Overview

The Gator GTKPRO2 is a 4G LTE CAT-M1 GPS tracking device operating exclusively on the Telstra 4G M2M network, providing extensive coverage across Australia. Suitable for fleet management, car rental, logistics, taxis, public transport, and personal vehicles compatible with any 12V or 24V vehicle.

Included in the box: tracking module, wiring harness, immobilisation relay, SIM card, and product manual. The M2M SIM card provides 30 days of tracking from activation after which a Gator Tracking Service subscription is required to continue.

Tracking and management is via the free smartphone app (iOS and Android) and a web-based portal accessible from any device. Key capabilities include unlimited vehicle tracking from a single login, 14 months of tracking history, geo-fence zones, route monitoring, driver behaviour reporting, and two AUX relay outputs for controlling vehicle electrical systems remotely (e.g. horn, headlights).

Security features include tow-away detection, remote ignition disable, and a 170mAh battery backup that continues tracking for a short period after power is disconnected.

Will this work with a third-party SIM card?

No. The GTKPRO2 is configured for the Telstra 4G M2M network only and is not compatible with third-party SIM cards.

What is the difference between the app and the web portal?

Both provide vehicle tracking, alerts, and management. The web portal (accessible via browser on any device) includes an advanced mode with detailed fleet management tools, sub-account creation, and comprehensive reports. The smartphone app (iOS and Android) provides on-the-go access to vehicle location, alerts, and geo-fences.

What is the ignition disable feature?

The GTKPRO2 includes an immobilisation relay that can cut the vehicle's ignition circuit remotely via the app or web portal — preventing the vehicle from being started. This is an anti-theft feature. The relay is included in the kit.

Does this tracker work outside mobile coverage areas?

The GTKPRO2 has offline memory that continues logging tracking data when data connectivity is lost. When coverage is re-established, the stored tracking data is uploaded to the server. Coverage is dependent on the Telstra M2M 4G network footprint.
