Product Overview

The Gator GT500SD is a complete commercial grade reverse camera kit with a 5-inch dashboard monitor and the GT14SD compact heavy duty camera the compact alternative to the 7-inch GT700SD for vehicles with tighter cab space. Three PROLINK II video inputs allow up to two additional cameras to be added.

The monitor supports image flip and reverse (mirror) image (both selectable), 800×480 resolution at 350cd, and PROLINK II screw connections for weatherproof cabling. High/low voltage cut-off and circuit protection included.

The GT14SD camera is IP68 rated with 10 infrared LEDs for 0 lux night vision and a 120-degree wide-angle CMOS lens.

Battery safety note: The IR remote includes a CR2025 coin cell battery keep out of reach of children.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the GT500SD and the GT700SD?

Both are complete commercial reverse camera kits with the same GT14SD camera (IP68, 10 IR LEDs, PROLINK II) and PROLINK II connections. The GT500SD has a 5-inch monitor (110×146mm) with 3 video inputs. The GT700SD has a 7-inch monitor (129×195mm) with 3 video inputs and higher resolution (800×480 is shared). The GT500SD is the more compact option for cabs with limited mounting space.

Can I add more cameras to this system?

Yes. The monitor has three PROLINK II inputs (2 with automatic trigger) — the included camera uses one, leaving two free for additional cameras.

Is this kit suitable for 24V trucks?

Yes. The monitor accepts 12V and 24V input, making the GT500SD suitable for heavy commercial vehicles as well as standard passenger vehicles.

Does this kit include a 10m PROLINK II extension cable?

No. Unlike the GT704SD and GT904SD, the GT500SD does not include a PROLINK II extension cable in the standard kit contents. A PLC10 or other extension cable is available separately if required.

Is the camera the same as in the larger GT700SD and GT704SD kits?

Yes. The GT500SD includes the same GT14SD compact heavy duty camera used in the GT700SD, GT704SD, and GT904SD kits.
