Quick answer: On a bare plastic tub liner, gear rattles and scuffs and unbacked mats slide about. Car Builders cut this marine carpet mat, grippy rubber underneath, to sit on the factory plastic liner of a 2022 onwards Ranger SuperCab. It sits loose, nothing bolts down, and you pick Cargo Only or the version with a Tailgate Flap.

What problems does this SuperCab cargo mat fix?

  • Mats sliding about on the liner. The rubber backing keeps the mat firmly in place, the common problem with unbacked carpet mats.
  • Loads rattling and scuffing on plastic. Gear sits on carpet instead of the bare liner.
  • Awkward loading over the tailgate gap. The flap option runs about 100mm past the open tailgate, so loads slide across the gap and you get a softer seat.
  • Dirty jobs. It lifts out for cleaning and can be pressure washed or vacuumed.

Which option do I need?

One mat covers the tub floor. Cargo Only finishes neatly at the tailgate. Cargo with Tailgate Flap extends about 100mm past the open tailgate for full tailgate coverage, and the flap folds away before you close the tailgate.

Will it fit my vehicle?

How to install

Difficulty: Easy. Lift it in by hand, nothing to bolt.

  1. Sweep the SuperCab tub clean so no grit is trapped under the mat.
  2. Slide the mat in and sit its front edge up against the headboard.
  3. Work it down into the floor ribs and line it up with the wheel arches.
  4. With the flap cut, tuck the flap away each time before raising the tailgate.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Buying the dual cab mat for a SuperCab. The tubs are different lengths.
  • Shutting the tailgate on the flap.
  • Laying it over grit that lets it shift.

No. This cut is for the SuperCab. The dual cab, Raptor and PHEV have their own Car Builders mat.
