Quick answer: Car-Rep Plastic Primer is a clear adhesion primer that lets paint grip hard plastic and chrome, inside or outside the vehicle. Car Builders list it for ABS, EPDM, hard PVC, glass fibre and glass fibre reinforced plastics, PA and PUR. Scuff, clean, lay two thin coats and paint over it after a wait of between 10 and 15 minutes.

What problems does Plastic Primer fix?

  • Fresh paint flaking off a bumper or trim. Strong adhesion lets the topcoat key to hard plastic.
  • Chrome you want to paint. It is developed for chrome as well.

How the primer works
