Product Overview

The Stinger SPXRGBUBKIT is a 4-module RGB underbody and rock light kit for powersports and on-road vehicles. Each of the four die-cast aluminium pods houses 3 software-adjustable RGB LEDs, controlled via Bluetooth using a free iOS or Android application. Colour selection, dynamic lighting modes, and music-controlled sync are all available through the app.

The system retains the last preset set via the application, so the LEDs will power on to the same setting without needing the app open each time. The app is not required to power the lights on. The controller supports Bluetooth connectivity up to 10–20 metres and handles a maximum output current of 18A across 4 outputs.

Both flat and curved rubber mounting pads are included, with two 48-inch extension harnesses for flexible routing. The kit operates on 12V or 24V.

Please note: These lights are for off-road use only and are not road legal for on-road vehicle use in Australia.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need the app to use these lights?

No. The app is required to change colours, modes, and settings, but the system retains the last preset configured via the app. Once a setting has been saved, the lights will power on to that preset without the app being open or connected.

What lighting modes are available?

The SPXRGBUBKIT supports static colour selection, dynamic pattern modes, and a music-controlled mode that synchronises the LED colour changes to the beat of your music. All modes are controlled via the free iOS or Android Bluetooth app.

What is IP65 and is it suitable for off-road use?

IP65 means the pods are fully dustproof and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. This makes them suitable for most off-road conditions including dust, mud, and rain — though they are not designed for full submersion. For submersion-rated lights, see the SPXULEDB (IP68).

Are these lights road legal in Australia?

No. The SPXRGBUBKIT is for off-road use only and is not approved for use on public roads in Australia. RGB underbody lighting is restricted in most Australian states.

Can I add more pods to expand the system?

The controller supports 4 outputs. To expand beyond 4 pods, an additional controller and kit would be required. Multiple SPXRGBUBKIT units can be used together on the same vehicle for greater coverage.
