The red boot bulk workshop pack of the Stinger PRO Series 0GA ring terminal Shoc-Krome chrome plating, 5/16-inch ring, and red boot for positive power identification. 25 terminals.
The Stinger SPT5101R is a 25-pack of PRO Series 1/0GA (0 gauge) ring terminals with Shoc-Krome chrome plating, 5/16-inch ring, and red boot identical construction to the SPT5101B (black boot) but in red for positive (power) polarity identification. The red boot makes it easy to distinguish positive power terminations from ground connections at a glance in a multi-amplifier installation.
25-pack suited to workshop stock, commercial installers, or large builds requiring multiple 0GA positive power terminations.

What is the difference between the SPT5101R and the SPT5101B?
Both are 25-packs of the same PRO Series 0GA Shoc-Krome ring terminal. The SPT5101R has a red boot for positive power connections; the SPT5101B has a black boot for ground connections. For a complete workshop stock, order both to cover positive and negative terminations.
Why use red boot terminals for power connections?
Using red for positive power and black for negative ground is standard automotive wiring convention. Colour-coding your ring terminals at a glance prevents wiring errors and helps with fault finding — particularly important in multi-amplifier builds with many connections.
What is the black boot for? (Editor note: correct to red boot)
The red boot covers the crimp section of the terminal, providing insulation over the exposed metal at the wire-to-terminal transition — reducing short circuit risk and clearly identifying the terminal as a positive power connection.
Do I need a crimp tool for these terminals?
Yes. A heavy-duty ratchet crimp tool suitable for 0GA (1/0GA) wire is required for correct termination.
Are these suitable for ground connections?
Electrically yes, but the red boot colour-coding convention indicates positive (power). For ground connections, use the SPT5101B (black boot) to maintain standard polarity identification.
