The SPF5680 from Stinger is a pack of three 80 amp MAXI blade fuses with Shoc-Krome plating, providing reliable circuit protection with high conductivity and maximum current transfer at the fuse connection point. Compatible with all standard MAXI blade fuse holders including Stinger MAXI fuse holders.
MAXI fuses are a large blade-style automotive fuse used for high-current circuit protection in main power distribution runs for car audio amplifiers and other high-draw accessories. The SPF5680 provides 80 amp rated protection in the MAXI blade format with Shoc-Krome plating on the fuse contacts, reducing contact resistance at the fuse terminal to ensure maximum current transfer and minimise voltage drop and heat generation at the connection point. Three fuses are included in the pack, providing spares alongside the installed fuse.
80 amp MAXI blade fuse rating: Provides 80 amp rated overcurrent protection for car audio amplifier main power runs and automotive accessory circuits using MAXI blade fuse holders.
Shoc-Krome plating: The Shoc-Krome plating on the fuse contacts reduces contact resistance at the fuse terminal, ensuring maximum current transfer and minimising voltage drop and heat generation in high-current automotive wiring applications.
MAXI blade fuse format: Standard MAXI blade fuse format compatible with all standard MAXI blade fuse holders. Not interchangeable with MIDI, ANL, or AGU fuse formats. Confirm your fuse holder accepts MAXI blade fuses before ordering.
Pack of 3: Three fuses are included in the pack, providing spares for future use alongside the installed fuse.

What is a MAXI fuse?
MAXI fuses are a large blade-style automotive fuse designed for high-current circuit protection. They are physically larger than standard ATO and ATC blade fuses and are commonly used in main power distribution runs for car audio amplifiers and other high-draw accessories. Confirm that your fuse holder accepts MAXI blade fuses before ordering.
What is the difference between MAXI fuses and MIDI fuses?
MAXI fuses are a larger blade-style format than MIDI fuses. Both are used for high-current automotive circuit protection but use different fuse holders and are not interchangeable. Confirm which format your fuse holder accepts before ordering.
Why does fuse plating matter?
Shoc-Krome plating reduces contact resistance at the fuse terminal, ensuring maximum current transfer between the fuse and holder. Lower resistance means less voltage drop and less heat generation, which is particularly important in high-current automotive wiring applications.
Can I replace a blown fuse with a higher amperage rating?
No. Never install a fuse rated higher than specified for the circuit. An oversized fuse defeats overcurrent protection and the wiring or component may overheat before the fuse blows, creating a fire risk. If a fuse blows repeatedly, diagnose and correct the underlying fault rather than increasing the fuse rating.
How many fuses are included in this pack?
The SPF5680 contains three 80 amp MAXI blade fuses.
