An HPM Series fused distribution block with individual fusing per output one 1/0GA or 4GA input, two fused 4GA or 8GA outputs, accommodating AFS, Mini ANL, or MIDI fuses from 30A to 175A. Chrome-plated brass, protective cover included.
The Stinger SHD820 is an HPM Series fused distribution block that provides individual output fusing for two amplifiers from a single power input. Unlike the non-fused SHD20 and SHD21, each output on the SHD820 has its own fuse position accepting AFS, Mini ANL, or MIDI fuse formats in ratings from 30A to 175A.
The chrome-plated brass construction resists corrosion and provides excellent conductivity. Allen set screw connections ensure solid, vibration-resistant wire termination. A clear protective cover is included.

What is the difference between the SHD820 and the SHD20?
Both are 1-input, 2-output distribution blocks with the same satin chrome aesthetic. The SHD20 is non-fused — the main power line fusing is done externally at the battery. The SHD820 has individual fuse positions at each output — providing per-amplifier protection in addition to any main line fusing.
Why would I use per-output fusing rather than just fusing the main line?
Main line fusing protects the wiring between the battery and the distribution block. Per-output fusing protects the wiring between the distribution block and each individual amplifier. If an amplifier develops a fault or its output wire shorts, the per-output fuse blows without affecting the other amplifier — a significant advantage in a multi-amplifier installation.
What fuse types does this block accept?
The SHD820 accepts AFS, Mini ANL, and MIDI fuse formats, with ratings from 30A to 175A. Fuses are not included — select the appropriate fuse type and rating for each amplifier being connected.
Are the set screw connections secure?
Yes. Allen set screw connections are tightened with an Allen (hex) key, providing a solid mechanical connection that resists vibration-induced loosening — more reliable than push-in or spring-clip connections for long-term automotive use.
Are fuses included?
No. Fuses must be purchased separately. Match the fuse rating to each amplifier's recommended fuse size — typically stated in the amplifier's installation manual.
