Product overview

Male to male RCA adaptors are used when two female RCA sockets or female-terminated cable ends need to be connected at a single point in the signal chain. Common applications include connecting two female-terminated RCA extension cables together, or bridging a female RCA output socket to a female RCA input socket where a direct connection cannot otherwise be made.

Frequently asked questions

What is the SGI21 used for?
The SGI21 bridges two female RCA terminated sockets or cable ends, making it suited to applications where two female RCA points in the signal chain need to be connected directly without a full RCA cable run between them.

How does the SGI21 differ from the SGI20?
The SGI20 is a female to female RCA adaptor that joins two male-terminated RCA cables end to end. The SGI21 is a male to male RCA adaptor that bridges two female RCA sockets or female-terminated cable ends. Select the adaptor that matches the connection type required for your specific installation.

How many adaptors are included in the SGI21?
The SGI21 is sold as a pair of male to male RCA adaptors, providing two adaptors per purchase to cover a stereo left and right channel connection.

Will the SGI21 affect signal quality?
Any additional connection point in an RCA signal path introduces a small potential for signal degradation if the contact quality is poor. Contact us for further technical details on the SGI21's construction and plating specification if signal integrity is a concern for your installation.
