Product Overview

The Stinger SFDFR06 is a vehicle-specific double DIN radio fascia kit designed for the Ford Focus LW series (including XR5, 2012–2015). It provides the dash framework and mounting brackets required to install an aftermarket 2DIN head unit into the factory radio opening.

Please note: A replacement hazard button (part number BKFR046) is required when upgrading the factory head unit in this vehicle and is sold separately. This is not an optional accessory — installation cannot be completed correctly without it.

For single DIN (1DIN) head unit installation, a universal pocket (part number BKUNIP) is also required and is sold separately.

Is the BKFR046 hazard button really required — can I install without it?

Yes, it is required. When the factory head unit is removed from the Ford Focus LW, the hazard button integrated into the factory fascia must be replaced with the BKFR046 replacement unit. Without it, the hazard button function will be lost. Do not order the SFDFR06 without also sourcing the BKFR046.

What is the BKUNIP and when do I need it?

The BKUNIP is a universal single DIN pocket adaptor required if you are installing a 1DIN (single DIN) head unit rather than a 2DIN unit. If you are installing a standard double DIN head unit, the BKUNIP is not required.

Is a wiring harness included?

No. The SFDFR06 is a fascia and bracket kit only. A vehicle-specific ISO wiring harness will need to be sourced separately to connect your aftermarket head unit to the factory wiring.

Is an antenna adaptor included?

No. An antenna adaptor is not included. Ford vehicles from this era typically require a specific antenna adaptor — confirm the correct type for your Focus LW with the F.A.E. team before purchasing.
