Product Overview

The Stinger RKX4 is a 2-pack of Roadkill Expert sound damping material two sheets at 12" × 24" (approx. 30cm × 61cm each) for a total of 4 sq ft. It uses the same Roadkill Expert specification as the larger RKX36B bulk kit proprietary ultra-dense butyl blend bottom layer for acoustic energy absorption and a 6 mil aluminium top layer for heat dissipation and structural integrity.

Suitable for a single door inner skin, a targeted floor or boot section, or a trial installation to evaluate Roadkill Expert's performance before purchasing a larger pack. Self-adhesive, odourless, and non-toxic.

Yes. The RKX4 uses the same Roadkill Expert specification — identical butyl blend, 6 mil aluminium layer, and adhesion specification. The RKX4 is a 2-pack (4 sq ft) for single-area or trial applications; the RKX36B is a 9-sheet bulk pack (36 sq ft) for full vehicle treatment.

Is 4 sq ft enough for a full door treatment?

A standard car front door inner skin typically requires 3–5 sq ft for full coverage. The RKX4 may be sufficient for one door or a partial treatment. For a complete two-door treatment, the RKX36B bulk pack or multiple RKX4 packs are recommended.

How do I apply Roadkill Expert?

Clean the metal surface with wax and grease remover or methylated spirits and allow it to dry. Cut the sheet to shape, peel the backing, press it firmly onto the panel, and roll with the Stinger RKINSTALL roller for full contact and maximum adhesion.

Does this product work on factory speakers?

Yes. Treating door inner skins with Roadkill Expert improves the mounting stability for factory speakers — reducing the panel vibration that causes rattles and degraded bass response, even without an upgraded speaker or amplifier.

Can I use the RKX4 alongside Roadkill Fast Rings for a speaker installation?

Yes. Apply Roadkill Expert to the door inner skin first, then install the Stinger RKFR6 Fast Rings at the speaker mounting location. Together they address both panel resonance (Expert) and acoustic coupling at the speaker (Fast Rings) for maximum improvement.
