RoadKill Overkill addresses a different noise source to traditional constrained-layer damping sheets. Rather than bonding to bare metal to stop panel resonance, the Overkill foam is placed between interior trims, door cards, and body surfaces where plastic-to-plastic or plastic-to-metal contact creates buzzing, squeaking, and rattling. The spongy closed-cell construction compresses between the two surfaces and absorbs the vibration energy before it becomes audible noise.

The pressure-sensitive self-adhesive backing bonds to clean surfaces with light hand pressure and requires no spray adhesive, heat gun, or additional tools. Surfaces must be cleaned with wax and grease remover or methylated spirits before application. Full adhesion strength develops after 24 hours. The foam can also be cut to create custom speaker gaskets between the speaker basket and mounting baffle, improving acoustic sealing and reducing bass leakage at the speaker mounting interface.
