Product Overview

The Stinger HR9-VW001 is a complete radio replacement bundle for installing the Pioneer DMH-AP6650BT 9-inch head unit into a 2009–2013 Volkswagen Golf (MK6). Unlike the universal SF9-001 and SF9-002 mounting kits, the HR9-VW001 is vehicle-specific to the Golf MK6 and includes three components in a single bundle: a 9-inch flush fit radio panel, a plug-and-play steering wheel control (SWC) interface with patch lead that retains factory audio controls on the Golf MK6 steering wheel, and an antenna adaptor for the VW Fakra antenna system. The flush fit panel is a key differentiator from the SF9-001/SF9-002 kits the Pioneer DMH-AP6650BT sits flush rather than forward of the factory dash panel when installed using the HR9-VW001.

The SWC interface retains memory even if power is lost and provides Nav Outputs (Reverse, Park, VSS). The harness uses the VW 40-pin Quadlock connector for direct plug-and-play connection to the Golf MK6 factory loom. However, there are two important limitations: the factory amplifier is not retained (models equipped with a factory amplifier are not compatible), and AUX/USB retention is not included. The Pioneer DMH-AP6650BT head unit is not included this is the installation hardware bundle only.
