Product Overview

The Stinger HR9-TY003 is a comprehensive radio replacement bundle for installing the Pioneer DMH-AP6650BT 9-inch head unit into a 2014–2018 Toyota RAV4 (XA40 Series). It is the most complete installation bundle in the Stinger HR9 range including five components in a single purchase: a 9-inch flush fit radio panel, a plug-and-play steering wheel control (SWC) interface with patch lead and reverse trigger, an antenna adaptor, a reverse camera retention interface, and AUX/USB retention. The harness uses Toyota's 28-pin, 10-pin, and 6-pin connectors for a direct plug-and-play connection to the RAV4 XA40 factory loom, and the SWC interface retains factory steering wheel audio controls with memory retention even after power loss.

There are two important compatibility limitations: the HR9-TY003 is not compatible with RAV4 XA40 models fitted with the factory JBL premium audio system (the factory amplifier is not retained), and the fascia does not sit perfectly flush against the left-hand side air vent there is a 2mm step on that side. Both are manufacturing characteristics of this installation, not faults, but buyers and installers should confirm these are acceptable before purchasing. The Pioneer DMH-AP6650BT head unit is not included.
