The Rockford Fosgate RFK4 is a 4 AWG amplifier power installation kit the heavier-gauge counterpart to the RFK8, suited to higher-powered amplifier systems requiring 4 AWG wiring. Full AWG specification, 100% PC-OFC at 21.1mm² with 1,862 strands. Includes a Maxi-format (not AGU) inline fuse holder and a 100A fuse consistent with the higher current capacity of a 4 AWG system.

What amplifier power is the RFK4 suited to? 4 AWG wiring is generally appropriate for amplifiers rated approximately 500–1,000W RMS depending on cable run length. For systems above this range requiring 1/0 AWG, the Rockford Fosgate RFW1R-51 wire and RFD1 distribution block provide the appropriate gauge.

Why does the RFK4 use a Maxi fuse holder instead of AGU? The Maxi format is a higher-current fuse type suited to 4 AWG main runs at 100A — consistent with the higher current capacity of 4 AWG wiring. The AGU fuse in the RFK8 is rated at 40A, appropriate for 8 AWG.
