Product features

When the woofer is low in the door, the highs end up aimed at your knees. The Rockford Fosgate R1T-S is a pair of tweeters you can mount higher and angle toward you, with the crossover already built in.

Problems it solves

  • Muffled highs from low door speakers. Mount the tweeters on the dash, A pillar or upper door and point them at the seats.
  • No room to cut a hole. Surface and angle mounts sit on top of the panel, so cutting is not always needed.
  • Worry about blowing a tweeter. The built in high pass crossover at 4.5kHz keeps bass out of it.

Is the R1T-S a 1 inch or a half inch tweeter?

Rockford calls it a 1 inch tweeter kit. The dome inside is 13mm (half inch).

Can I surface mount the R1T-S without cutting the dash?

Yes. Rockford includes surface and angle mounts as well as flush.

Why is the sensitivity only 72.5dB?

That is Rockford's published figure at 1W/1m, so these pair best with a head unit that has decent output or a small amp.

Will the R1T-S fit my dash or door?
