The Rockford Fosgate PMX-RGB is an Element Ready watertight IPX7 certified RGB LED light controller, the central hub of any Rockford Fosgate Color Optix marine audio lighting system. It provides complete lighting control over M1 and M2 series Color Optix speakers and subwoofers through the proprietary RF Connect app on iOS and Android, connecting wirelessly to the controller via Bluetooth.

The controller supports up to 16 Color Optix speakers and/or subwoofers per unit - the optimal configuration is up to 8 for full brightness, with slight dimming possible when running more than 8 devices at the end of the string. Up to an unlimited number of PMX-RGB controllers can be managed simultaneously through the RF Connect app, allowing large multi-zone marine audio builds to be controlled from a single smartphone. Multiple PMX-RGB units are also supported within the same app session.

The RF Connect app provides 30 different colour scrolling options, any fixed colour from a swatch panel, and any gradient from a full colour wheel. Speed and brightness are independently adjustable. Plug-and-play connectors with 8 female signal outputs extending 16.5 inches from the box simplify installation, and the maximum cable run including Y-adaptors is 100 feet (30.48 metres). Power and ground leads extend 16 inches from the box. An internal 2A fuse provides protection. Operating voltage range of 9V-24VDC makes it compatible with both 12V and 24V marine and powersports electrical systems. Stainless steel mounting hardware is included.
