Product Overview
The Rockford Fosgate P2V2-TS is the standalone tweeter kit from the Punch P2 range, designed as a direct replacement for frequency-limited factory tweeters or as a supplemental high-frequency addition to an existing audio system where improved detail and high-frequency extension are required. Using the same 3/4" (19mm) Tetolon inverted dome edge-driven tweeter as the P2V2 convertible speaker range, the P2V2-TS delivers the same tweeter performance in a standalone kit format for installations where the full convertible speaker is not required.
The I.L.M. (Interchangeable Locking Mechanism) bayonet-style mounting system is retained, allowing the tweeter to be installed in either the included flush-mount or surface-mount tweeter cups with copper spring contacts for front-side servicing. Flush-mount cups suit 3/8" thick panels using a 1.5" hole-saw cutout with a 39mm mounting diameter and 19.9mm mounting depth. Surface-mount cups require a 31.1mm mounting diameter with 14.4mm depth. Both cup types include grilles.
The included MC3 multi-configuration crossover chassis provides a 12dB/octave passive crossover at 9kHz with switchable 0dB or -3dB tweeter attenuation, and the MC3 design allows the crossover units to be separated into independent positions or snapped together as a unified structure for installation flexibility.
