The Rockford Fosgate M2D4-12I is an M2 series 12 inch dual voice coil (DVC) 4-ohm marine subwoofer with Color Optix RGB illumination, purpose-built for infinite baffle marine installations where a dedicated subwoofer enclosure is not available or practical. It is optimised for infinite baffle (free air) applications - a mounting baffle is required to isolate front and rear wavelengths and prevent cancellation.

The M2D4-12I features Rockford Fosgate's VersaSwitch, which allows the impedance to be changed between 2-ohm (parallel) and 8-ohm (series) configurations simply by flipping a switch, without any additional wiring. Integrated Deutsch/Amphenol connectors are moulded directly into the basket frame - the first of their kind in the industry - providing error-proof plug-and-play connectivity for both the speaker signal and Color Optix RGB lighting through a single connection point. Conventional spade terminals are also included as an alternative wiring option.

Color Optix RGB LED lighting is controllable via the PMX-RGB controller and RF Connect app (available on iOS and Android, sold separately). A 2-piece interchangeable grille accepts both the included stainless steel and sport grille inserts.
