The Rockford Fosgate M2-8H is a pair of M2 series 8 inch 2-way marine speakers with an integrated 1 inch (25mm) high-efficiency horn tweeter, purpose-built for flush or surface mounting in marine watercraft. Unlike the M2WL-8H wake tower loaded enclosure, the M2-8H is a bare speaker designed for custom installation into a hull panel, dash, or similar mounting surface.

The horn tweeter delivers high-efficiency output and extended projection with a frequency response of 20Hz-25kHz, and at 94dB sensitivity (1W/1m) the M2-8H is one of the most efficient speakers in the M2 marine range, requiring less amplifier power to achieve high output levels. The fully sealed 12dB/octave Integrated Concealed Crossover (ICC) network uses metallised polyester film capacitors and is hidden inside the basket for a clean installation. A vented motor design with a water-repelling nano-coated mesh screen protects the motor structure from water ingress without compromising airflow.

The driver construction features a moisture, tear, and fatigue resistant aramid fiber spider, UV and salt-fog resistant TPE (Thermo-Plastic Elastomer) surround, co-moulded surround and cone body, and an injection-moulded mineral-filled polypropylene cone with UV inhibitors. The frame is constructed from ultra-high temperature PA66 with 30% glass fill and UV inhibitors. Integrated Deutsch RGB and speaker receptacles combine Color Optix lighting and audio signal into a single plug-and-play connection.
