Product Overview

The Rockford Fosgate HD14RK-STAGE2 is a purpose-built Stage 2 audio upgrade kit for select 2014+ Harley-Davidson Road King models, engineered to deliver an exceptional sound experience while retaining as much interior saddlebag space as possible. Compatible with factory Harley-Davidson ABS plastic hardshell saddlebags only - not compatible with fiberglass lids or the H-D Power Lock Kit.

The TMS69BL14 6x9 inch Element Ready saddlebag retrofit speakers install into the top of the factory saddlebag lids using the included cutting template, waterproof bag lid mounts, and speaker grilles. The TM400X4ad 400W 4-channel amplifier mounts to a custom plate inside the rear of the bag using the RFK-HDRK installation kit. The included RFBTRCA Bluetooth receiver pairs directly with a smartphone via one-button pairing - no source unit replacement or factory radio flash required. The entire system is tied together via a plug-and-play wiring harness. A prewired front lower speaker expansion harness terminates under the seat and supports future expansion using the DEUTSCH/Amphenol DT06-4S connector (sold separately). A handlebar remote control is available as an optional accessory.

Important: This kit is compatible with standard sized ABS plastic factory Harley-Davidson saddlebags and lids only. It is not compatible with fiberglass bag lids, the H-D Power Lock Kit, or stretched saddlebags. Plug-and-Play - No Drilling or Cutting of the Motorcycle Required: The kit uses a plug-and-play wiring harness purpose-built for compatible 2014+ Road King models. The only cutting required is the speaker opening in the saddlebag lids using the included template.

Prewired Lower Speaker Expansion Harness: A front lower speaker expansion harness is pre-installed and terminates under the seat, ready for future lower fairing speaker addition using the DEUTSCH/Amphenol DT06-4S connector (sold separately).

Does the HD14RK-STAGE2 require a factory radio flash?

No. Unlike other Harley-Davidson audio kits that integrate with the factory Boom Box infotainment system, the HD14RK-STAGE2 uses the included RFBTRCA Bluetooth receiver to stream audio directly from a paired smartphone. No factory radio flash or head unit replacement is required.

What saddlebag types are compatible with this kit?

This kit is compatible with standard sized factory Harley-Davidson ABS plastic hardshell saddlebags and lids only. It is not compatible with fiberglass bag lids, stretched saddlebags, or saddlebags fitted with the H-D Power Lock Kit. Check your saddlebag type before purchasing.

Does installation require cutting or drilling the motorcycle?

The only cutting involved is the speaker opening in the saddlebag lids, which is made using the included cutting template. The wiring harness and amp mounting are plug-and-play. No cutting or drilling of the motorcycle frame or body is required.

Can I add lower fairing speakers to this kit later?

Yes. The kit includes a prewired front lower speaker expansion harness that terminates under the seat, ready for future lower speaker addition. The DEUTSCH/Amphenol DT06-4S connector is required to complete the lower speaker connection and is sold separately.
