When your factory system needs a full aftermarket upgrade without losing a single OEM feature, the DSR1 delivers professional-grade digital signal processing and seamless vehicle integration in a single unit.
The DSR1 is co-developed with iDatalink Maestro, combining a full-featured 8-channel digital signal processor with a flashable Maestro integration module in one compact, behind-dash unit. It can be deployed immediately out of the box using high or low-level inputs in Universal Mode, or flashed with vehicle-specific firmware in Maestro Mode to interface directly with factory CANbus messages, preserving OEM controls, features, and audio routing without signal degradation. Once connected, the DSR1 is tuned using Rockford Fosgate's PerfectTune app via Bluetooth 4.0, available for both Apple iOS and Android devices, replacing the need for a laptop or dedicated tuning interface. The 32-bit DSP core running at 147 MIPS provides 245 bands of equalisation across eight output channels, variable crossovers with slope selections from 6 to 48 dB/octave, and up to 10 milliseconds of delay per channel for time alignment. With 24-bit ADC and DAC conversion, a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 100 dBA, and THD+N below 1.0%, the DSR1 delivers transparent signal processing that does not compromise the source quality it is built to improve. CE and FCC compliant, with a 1-year warranty.
iDatalink Maestro Integration: A flashable Maestro module is built into the DSR1, allowing vehicle-specific firmware to be downloaded to enable integration into factory-installed systems without the loss of OEM controls and features. Once flashed, the factory source unit's CANbus messages control the internal signal routing of the DSR1 directly.
245 Bands of Equalisation: Eight output channels each receive 31 bands of parametric EQ with selectable Q from 0.01 to 10.0, providing precise correction across Front, Rear, Spare, and Subwoofer channels to address acoustic deficiencies in the vehicle's listening environment.
Variable Crossovers with Selectable Slope: Crossovers are continuously variable from 20 Hz to 10 kHz and support High-Pass, Low-Pass, Band-Pass, All-Pass, and fixed Linkwitz-Riley topologies, with slope options of 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, and 48 dB/octave for precise speaker integration.
Time Alignment: Up to 10 milliseconds of delay is available on each output channel, allowing precise time alignment of speakers at different physical distances from the listening position for a coherent, centred stereo image.
Bluetooth 4.0 Tuning via App: Wireless connection to the PerfectTune app on iOS 10.0 or later and Android 8.0 or later allows full DSP control, EQ adjustment, crossover configuration, and time alignment from a smartphone or tablet without accessing the unit directly. Bluetooth is for tuning only and does not support audio streaming.
Universal and Maestro Mode Flexibility: In Universal Mode, the DSR1 operates with RCA or high-level inputs and any aftermarket amplifier. In Maestro Mode, a compatible vehicle-specific T-harness is added to enable full factory system integration with CANbus control.
Multiple Input Options: Four balanced differential RCA inputs, four high-level inputs with signal-sense turn-on, two auxiliary RCA inputs, and an SPDIF coaxial digital input provide complete flexibility for any installation scenario.
Eight RCA Outputs: Eight individual RCA outputs at up to 4V RMS support multi-amplifier configurations for front, rear, subwoofer, and spare channel assignments.
DSM Circuit Technology: 1% tight-tolerance components improve circuit efficiency, reduce crosstalk between discrete components, and lower operating temperature for long-term reliability.
Optional PLC2 Level Controller: The optional PLC2 remote controller adds physical level adjustment with assignable functions, providing a convenient dash-mounted control point without opening the app.
CE and FCC Compliant: Fulfils all essential safety and environmental requirements under the European Directives and FCC regulations.

What is the difference between Universal Mode and Maestro Mode on the DSR1?
In Universal Mode, the DSR1 operates as a standalone 8-channel DSP using RCA or high-level inputs from any head unit and feeds signal to aftermarket amplifiers. No vehicle-specific harness is needed. In Maestro Mode, a compatible iDatalink T-harness is added and the built-in Maestro module is flashed with vehicle-specific firmware, allowing the DSR1 to intercept the factory CANbus audio signal and preserve OEM controls, features, and source unit functionality while replacing the factory amplifier and speaker signal chain entirely.
Does the DSR1 replace the factory amplifier?
Yes, in Maestro Mode with a compatible harness, the DSR1 replaces the factory amplifier by tapping the factory source unit's full-range, flat audio signal before it reaches the OEM amplifier stage. This bypasses factory equalisation and compression, giving the DSR1 a clean signal to process and distribute to aftermarket amplifiers. Universal Mode also supports factory amplifier replacement using high-level inputs with signal-sense turn-on, without requiring a Maestro harness.
What app is used to tune the DSR1, and which devices are supported?
The DSR1 is tuned using Rockford Fosgate's PerfectTune app, available on the App Store and Google Play. It is compatible with Apple devices running iOS 10.0 or later, including iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, and Android devices running Oreo 8.0 or later, optimised for screens 5 inches or larger. Connection is via Bluetooth 4.0, which is used for tuning only and does not stream audio.
How many bands of EQ does the DSR1 provide, and how are they distributed?
The DSR1 provides 245 total bands of parametric EQ, with 31 bands per channel across four channel groups: Front, Rear, Spare, and Subwoofer. Each band offers selectable Q from 0.01 to 10.0 for precise frequency shaping. Combined with variable crossovers (20 Hz to 10 kHz, up to 48 dB/octave slope) and up to 10 milliseconds of per-channel time alignment delay, the DSR1 provides a professional-level tuning toolkit for correcting factory acoustic deficiencies.
Can the DSR1 be used without a Maestro T-harness?
Yes. In Universal Mode, the DSR1 operates with standard RCA inputs (up to 4V), high-level speaker inputs (up to 12.5V) with automatic signal-sense turn-on, auxiliary RCA inputs, or SPDIF coaxial digital input, and works with any aftermarket amplifier configuration. A Maestro T-harness is only required when integrating with a factory-amplified OEM system in Maestro Mode.
