The Redarc BCDC Alpha100 R is a 12V 100A DC-DC battery charger and manager for caravans, camper trailers, and 4WDs. It charges from DC (alternator) and solar simultaneously, features built-in Green Power Priority that prioritises solar to minimise alternator load, and includes a Smart Battery Monitor. The BCDC Alpha100 R functions as a true battery manager rather than a standard DC charger. It adjusts its charge mode in real time to match the battery's needs, extending battery lifespan and maximising charging efficiency. Green Power Priority minimises alternator load by prioritising solar input first, reducing fuel consumption. When paired with the included Smart Battery Monitor, the BCDC Alpha100 R can distinguish between current delivered to the battery and current consumed by system loads. If the charge current is set below maximum, the charger directs unused current to supply system loads directly, reducing reliance on the battery. The BCDC Alpha100 R can also revive a fully flattened lithium battery and recover a flat start battery, returning enough charge to start the vehicle in approximately 15 minutes via the smartphone app. Excess solar capacity automatically tops up the start battery once the secondary battery is full. Screw terminal connections simplify installation. Over-the-air updates keep the charger's firmware current. Compatible with the TVMS Rogue and TVMS Prime for full RedVision integration.
