Every Quad Lock MAG case leaves the factory with a black MAG Ring fitted. If that ring is scratched or lost, or you want the standard look back after a colour, this is the part. You do not need a new case to change the look, just the ring and the little tool that lifts the old one out.

Fitting it

Use the removal tool from the pack to lift the existing ring out of your MAG case, then fit the black ring in its place. Quad Lock designs the ring to be changed at home with only the supplied tool. Keep the ring you took out in a drawer so you can change back later.

Is this the same black ring that comes on a new Quad Lock MAG case?

Yes, it is the black MAG Ring sold on its own. Quad Lock fits a black ring to every MAG case at the factory, so this is the one to buy as a spare or to go back to black after trying a colour.

What is the difference between QLP-MCR-BK and QLP-MCR-BK-2?

QLP-MCR-BK-2 is the code Quad Lock uses for the black MAG Ring today. The older QLP-MCR-BK code is no longer in the Quad Lock trade range, so BK-2 is the one to order.

Do I need any tools to change the black MAG Ring?

Only the removal tool that comes in the pack. Use it to lift the old ring out, then fit the new one.

Can I put the black MAG Ring on a Quad Lock Original case?

No. Original cases do not have a MAG Ring. This part only suits Quad Lock MAG cases.
