The problem it fixes

A wireless charging mount on a boat or vehicle dash usually leaves a cable draped across the surface. With this base the charging head cable drops straight down through the grommet and the screws sit under a cover, so all you see is the mount.

Fitting it

Drill for two screws 25mm apart and a hole for the cable. Feed the charging head cable through the grommet, screw the base down, then fit the head. The cover locks in over the screws.

Which cable fits through the Quad Lock Concealed Through Cable Base?

Only the cable from the Quad Lock 12V to 24V Waterproof Wireless Charging Head. The grommet is made for that cable.

Will a USB-C cable fit through the QLP-360-CCS grommet?

No. Quad Lock lists USB-A to USB-C, USB-C to USB-C, SAE, Motorcycle USB Charger, 12V to USB Smart Adaptor and USB Weatherproof Wireless Charging Head cables as not compatible.

Is the Quad Lock Through Cable Base good for a boat dash?

Yes. Quad Lock shows it on a boat dash with the 12V to 24V Waterproof Wireless Charging Head, with the cable hidden below.

Do I have to drill to fit the Quad Lock Through Cable Base?

Yes. It screws down with two M5 or 10 gauge pan head screws on a 25mm pitch, and the cable needs a hole to pass through.

What is the difference between QLP-360-CCS and QLP-360-CRS?

Both are small concealed bases with hidden screws. The CCS adds a grommet so the 12V to 24V Waterproof Wireless Charging Head cable runs through the base.
