Fitting it

Loosen the knob on your socket arm, take out the old ball, seat the adaptor in the arm and do the knob back up. Then twist your phone on until it locks.

Will the Quad Lock Ball Top Cap Adaptor fit my RAM mount?

Yes, if it uses a 1 inch (RAM size B) socket arm. For 20mm arms such as Tackform, pick QLM-BAL-20TCA.

Can I use a Quad Lock MAG Head on the 1 inch Ball Top Cap Adaptor?

Yes. It works with all Quad Lock MAG Heads. Your phone will also need a Quad Lock MAG case or a MAG Universal Adaptor.

Does the 1 inch Ball Top Cap Adaptor work with wireless charging?

Yes, with a Quad Lock Wireless Charging Head bought after July 2022 or the Quad Lock MAG Wireless Charging Head. Quad Lock rates iPhone charging at up to 7.5W on those heads.

Is the Quad Lock Ball Top Cap Adaptor good for a motorcycle?

No. Quad Lock does not recommend it for motorcycles or other rigorous activities. Ask us about a dedicated Quad Lock motorcycle mount instead.

Do I need tools to fit the 1 inch Ball Top Cap Adaptor?

No. It goes into your existing socket arm the same way as any 1 inch ball and the arm knob holds it.
