The problem it fixes

A 20mm ball and socket setup is a solid base in the car or caravan, but the phone holder on top often is not. Spring cradles are bulky and phones work loose in them. Keep the arm and base, swap the top for this adaptor and your phone twists on and locks in portrait or landscape.

Fitting it

Undo the knob on the 20mm arm, swap in the adaptor ball and tighten the knob again. Twist your phone on and you are done.

Will the Quad Lock 20mm Ball Top Cap Adaptor fit my Tackform arm?

Yes. It is made for 20mm socket arms such as Tackform 20mm arms.

What is the difference between the 20mm and 1 inch Quad Lock ball adaptors?

The ball size. QLM-BAL-20TCA has a 20mm aluminium ball for 20mm socket arms. QLM-BAL-TCA suits 1 inch arms such as RAM size B. Measure the ball on your current mount before you order.

Can I put a MAG Wireless Charging Head on the 20mm Ball Top Cap Adaptor?

Yes. It works with the Quad Lock MAG Wireless Charging Head, which charges at 5W to 15W, with iPhone at up to 7.5W. You will need a Quad Lock MAG case or MAG Universal Adaptor.

Can my phone sit in landscape on the 20mm Ball Top Cap Adaptor?

Yes. The phone twists on in portrait or landscape.

Should I use the 20mm Ball Top Cap Adaptor on a dirt bike?

No. Quad Lock does not recommend the ball adaptors for motorcycles or other rigorous activities.
