The CL41-50 lug suits 70 mm², 00 B and S cable and a 10 mm stud, pack of 50. At 50 per pack these suit a workshop or fleet stocking up. Barrel internal diameter is 11.2 mm.
Projecta makes them from electro tinned copper with a long shank for a double crimp, and a bell mouth that guides the strands in.
A hammer crimp will work in a pinch, a hydraulic or ratchet crimper does it properly.
A tug test after crimping tells you straight away if the joint is sound. Match the lug to both the cable and the stud; a loose fit on either costs voltage. Use red and black heat shrink to mark polarity at each end. Keep lugs in a sealed tub so they stay bright until used. Strip only enough insulation for the barrel, so no bare copper shows past the joint. Remove rings and watches before working on battery connections. Engine bay heat and vibration are hard on connections, so check them at each service. Related parts are in the Projecta range.
This comes with the manufacturer's warranty through the Australian distributor. See the manufacturer's terms for details, plus our guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
It is made for a 10 mm stud.
Projecta lists 70 mm², 00 B and S, with a barrel internal diameter of 11.2 mm.
The name lists 50, sold as a pack of 50.
Crimp it with a tool rated for the cable size; the long shank allows a double crimp. Heat shrink over the barrel finishes the job.
