The Projecta BT642H-P1 is the Positive Heavy Duty Bolt Brass Battery Terminal, Blister of 1. Need to replace just one clamp? The BT642H-P1 is a single positive heavy duty bolt terminal.
Need to replace just one clamp? The BT642H-P1 is a single positive heavy duty bolt terminal. Heavy duty pattern, so it suits thicker starter and dual battery cable.
Material is forged brass, a solid choice for battery connections. Marked positive, it is sized for the positive post; the two are not interchangeable. Give the post a clean first; a dirty post will undo a good terminal.
Lugs sit on a 3/8 inch or 10 mm stud. The bolt style holds ring lugs firmly with a nut, the usual choice where vibration is a concern.
Check the terminal again after the first week, as new cable can settle under the clamp. If the old terminal was badly corroded, cut the cable back to clean copper before fitting the new one. After fitting, a thin smear of terminal grease or spray protector slows corrosion. Keep the positive covered so a spanner cannot bridge it to the body. Tighten firmly but do not crush the post; a lead post deforms easily. The full Projecta range has the matching accessories.

It is built for heavier cable, with a 3/8 inch or 10 mm stud, which suits 4WD, truck and dual battery work.
Yes. Once it is tight, a thin coat of terminal grease or protector spray over the joint slows corrosion.
Tighten until it cannot be twisted on the post by hand. Going further risks damaging the post or the terminal.
