The Projecta BT14H-N1 is the Negative Heavy Duty Wingnut Brass Battery Terminal, Blister of 1. One negative heavy duty wingnut terminal in a blister pack, the BT14H-N1 is the one to grab when a single clamp has corroded or cracked on the negative post.
Heavy duty pattern, so it suits thicker starter and dual battery cable.
Positive posts are slightly larger than negative posts, so fit this one only to the negative side. Before fitting, clean any corrosion off the post so the terminal seats properly. Stud size is listed as 3/8 inch or 10 mm.
With a wingnut on the stud, lugs can be swapped without a spanner. Forged brass conducts well and copes with the heat and vibration of an engine bay.
Tighten firmly but do not crush the post; a lead post deforms easily. Measure the post and the cable before ordering; a terminal that is too big for the post will never clamp properly. Check the terminal again after the first week, as new cable can settle under the clamp. See the rest of the Projecta range for matching parts.
This comes with the manufacturer's warranty through the Australian distributor. See the manufacturer's terms for details, plus our guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
One negative heavy duty wingnut terminal, packed on its own.
The stud is 3/8 inch or 10 mm. Use lugs with a hole to match.
No. Positive posts are slightly larger than negative ones, so this negative terminal is sized for the negative post only.
It is built for heavier cable, with a 3/8 inch or 10 mm stud, which suits 4WD, truck and dual battery work.
Cut the cable back to clean, bright copper if the old end is green or black, then fit the new terminal and tighten it firmly.
