The black 1000A clamp for the negative side of a heavy duty jump lead.
The black 1000A clamp for the negative side of a heavy duty jump lead. Solid brass with a copper bridging strap and a fully insulated rubber outer. Cable lugs are included for 10 to 30 mm² and 30 to 70 mm² cable.
Pair it with the red BC1000R.
Match the lug to both the cable and the stud; a loose fit on either costs voltage. Use red and black heat shrink to mark polarity at each end. Strip only enough insulation for the barrel, so no bare copper shows past the joint. A tug test after crimping tells you straight away if the joint is sound. Keep lugs in a sealed tub so they stay bright until used. Wear eye protection around batteries, as the acid and gases are hazardous. Check that every bolt is tight and nothing can rub through insulation once the job is finished. If you are unsure about any of it, an auto electrician can fit and test the setup for you. See the rest of the Projecta range for matching parts.
This comes with the manufacturer's warranty through the Australian distributor. See the manufacturer's terms for details, plus our guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
