Product features

Factory 5.25 inch speakers often sound flat and muddy once the volume goes up. The Pioneer TS-A1371F swaps them for a 3 way coaxial with a separate midrange and tweeter, running fine off a standard head unit.

Pioneer rates it at 50W nominal and 300W max with 89dB sensitivity, so it does not need an amplifier to wake up.

Problems it solves

  • Dull top end from paper factory cones. A 42mm midrange and a small tweeter sit in front of the woofer, so vocals and cymbals come through clearly.
  • Weak bass from the door. The carbon and mica reinforced IMPP cone is built for a firmer low end than a basic paper cone.

Fitment and compatibility

These suit cars with 5.25 inch factory speaker holes that have at least 54mm of depth behind the mount and a 121mm opening. Many cars need a spacer or adaptor ring as well, so check your door before ordering or ring us with the car details.

What is in the box

Pioneer includes grilles. Pioneer Australia does not publish the rest of the carton list, so call Albion Park Rail on (02) 4257 2636 if you need it checked.

Install notes

Check polarity on both terminals when wiring, as a reversed speaker thins out the bass. A spacer usually brings the speaker forward enough to clear the window glass in a door.
