The OEX ACX3160 is a 400A heavy duty bus bar box combining a red positive bus bar and a black negative bus bar in a single enclosed unit. Eight M10 (3/8") stud terminals four red and four black provide a structured, high-current distribution point for 12V, 24V and 48V DC electrical systems. A bus bar box provides a centralised, organised distribution point for multiple positive supply and negative return connections in a DC electrical system. Rather than stacking multiple ring terminals on a battery terminal or scattering individual stud terminals across the installation, the ACX3160 consolidates up to four positive supply circuits and four negative return circuits at a single purpose-built enclosure, keeping the installation clean, reducing heat at connection points and making future maintenance and troubleshooting easier.
The 400A maximum continuous rating and 48V DC voltage rating cover 12V, 24V and 48V systems including lithium battery banks and solar storage installations. The glass fibre reinforced nylon enclosure provides heavy duty mechanical strength, electrical insulation and durability in underbonnet, marine and caravan environments. Three sides of the box are open for unobstructed wiring access from multiple directions. At 168x80x40mm it suits underbonnet, dual battery and caravan electrical panel installations. For higher current requirements, the ACX3162 provides a 600A alternative.
400A maximum continuous rating: Suited to high-current main supply and earth distribution in dual battery systems, inverter installations and multi-circuit accessory panels. Total combined current across all positive (or negative) connections must not exceed 400A continuous.

The ACX3160 has four red positive studs and four black negative studs, allowing up to four positive supply circuits and four negative return circuits to be connected simultaneously. The total combined current across all positive (or all negative) connections must not exceed 400A continuous.
What ring terminal size suits the M10 studs? The M10 studs are 10mm in nominal diameter and require ring terminals with a 10.5mm or larger ID hole. The OEX ACX3057 (10.5mm ID, blue, pack of 100) and ACX3057BL (pack of 14) are suitable options. Always confirm the ring terminal ID matches the stud diameter before purchasing.
