The OEX ACX2807 is a 7-pin large round trailer plug rated at 30A and 12V, with a die cast metal housing and brass terminals. The 7-pin large round format is used on heavy duty trailers, caravans and horse floats where a more robust connector than the standard flat format is required. The die cast metal housing provides greater durability and impact resistance compared to plastic equivalents, and the finger grips allow easier disconnection when the connector becomes weathered or stiff. Supplied as a single unit. Covered by a one year warranty.
The 7-pin large round is a heavier duty trailer connector format than the common 7-pin flat (ACX2804/ACX2805). At 30A it carries higher current than the 15A flat connector, suited to heavy duty trailers, horse floats and commercial towing applications where the flat format's lighter construction would not be appropriate. The two formats are not interchangeable and the correct format depends on the socket fitted to the towing vehicle.
The die cast metal housing provides greater durability and impact resistance than plastic alternatives, particularly in heavy duty commercial, agricultural or off-road towing environments where the connector is subject to rough handling. Finger grips on the housing allow easier disconnection when the connector becomes stiff or weathered from sustained outdoor exposure. The ACX2807 is the plug (trailer side). A matching 7-pin large round socket is required on the towing vehicle.
7-pin large round format: Heavy duty trailer connector for demanding towing applications, rated at 30A and not interchangeable with the standard 7-pin flat format.
30A at 12V: Higher current capacity than the 15A flat connector format, suited to heavy duty trailer and commercial towing applications.
Die cast metal housing: More durable and impact-resistant than plastic alternatives, suited to heavy duty, commercial and agricultural towing environments.
Brass terminals: Reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance across all seven circuits.
Finger grips: Allow easier disconnection, particularly when the connector has become stiff or weathered from outdoor exposure.
Single unit: For new installation or replacement.
One year warranty: Covered by a one year OEX warranty.

What is the difference between 7-pin flat and 7-pin large round connectors? The 7-pin flat (ACX2804/ACX2805) is the most common Australian trailer connector for light duty applications, rated at 15A with a flat pin configuration. The 7-pin large round is a heavier duty format with a round housing, rated at 30A and suited to heavy trailers, horse floats and applications requiring a more robust connector. The two formats are not interchangeable.
What is the difference between a plug and a socket? The plug is the male connector and fits on the trailer wiring cable. The socket is the female connector and fits on the towing vehicle. The ACX2807 is the plug (trailer side). A matching 7-pin large round socket is required on the vehicle.
What circuits does a 7-pin large round connector carry? A 7-pin large round connector carries the same seven circuits as the flat format: left indicator, right indicator, tail and marker lights, brake lights, reverse lights, electric brake control and a battery charging circuit.
Why choose a metal housing over plastic? A die cast metal housing offers greater durability, impact resistance and longevity compared to plastic, particularly in heavy duty commercial, agricultural or off-road towing applications where the connector is subject to rough handling.
Is this connector weatherproof? Weatherproofing is not specified for this SKU. Confirm the sealing specification with OEX if weatherproofing is a requirement for your installation.
