The OEX ACX1341 is a nylon 66 cable gland supplied in a pack of 10, providing a waterproof and secure cable entry point through panels, enclosures and junction boxes. Rated IP68 for full submersion protection and UL approved. Suits conduit and cable diameters of 5 to 10mm with a 16mm mounting hole, 10.5mm internal diameter and 15.5mm thread length, accommodating a wider range of cable and conduit sizes than the 12mm ACX1340. Suited to automotive, marine, caravan and outdoor electrical installations. Covered by a one year warranty.
The ACX1341 steps up from the ACX1340 to a 16mm mounting hole and a 5 to 10mm cable and conduit range, suited to medium gauge cables including standard automotive cable, small convoluted tubing and multi-core cable runs that exceed the 6.5mm upper limit of the smaller gland. The longer 15.5mm thread length also makes the ACX1341 suitable for thicker panel installations where the 7.9mm thread of the ACX1340 would not provide sufficient engagement.
Like the ACX1340, the ACX1341 is rated IP68, confirming full sealing against dust and continuous water submersion under pressure. The nylon 66 construction is UL approved for chemical resistance and dimensional stability. The 16mm mounting hole is a common panel drilling size for medium cable glands in automotive, marine and caravan enclosure work. The pack of 10 suits workshops and panel builders running multiple cable entries.
IP68 rated: Fully sealed against dust and continuous water submersion under pressure, the highest standard ingress protection rating, suited to marine, submerged and fully exposed outdoor applications.
UL approved nylon 66: High-strength, chemically resistant nylon 66 material meeting UL approval standards for cable gland applications.
Suits 5 to 10mm cable and conduit: Accommodates a wider range of medium gauge cables and conduit than the 12mm ACX1340, covering standard automotive cable, small convoluted tubing and multi-core cable runs.
16mm mounting hole: Fits a standard 16mm panel hole, compatible with common panel drilling sizes for medium cable glands.
10.5mm internal diameter: The cable passage bore through the gland body.
15.5mm thread length: Longer than the ACX1340 (7.9mm), providing secure engagement on thicker panel installations.
Pack of 10: Trade-friendly quantity for workshops and panel builders running multiple cable entries.
One year warranty: Covered by a one year OEX warranty.

What is a cable gland used for? A cable gland is a fitting that provides a secure, sealed entry point for a cable or conduit passing through a panel or enclosure wall. It clamps around the cable to prevent movement and chafing, while the sealing mechanism prevents moisture, dust and contaminants from entering through the cable opening.
What does IP68 mean? IP68 is an ingress protection rating indicating the fitting is fully sealed against dust (6) and protected against continuous immersion in water under pressure (8). It is the highest standard IP rating, suited to marine, submerged and fully exposed outdoor applications.
What cable or conduit sizes does this gland suit? This gland suits cables and conduit with an outer diameter of 5 to 10mm. Confirm the cable or conduit outer diameter falls within this range before purchasing to ensure a correct seal.
What size hole does this gland require and does panel thickness matter? The gland requires a 16mm mounting hole. The thread length is 15.5mm, so the panel must be thin enough for the thread to engage fully and the locknut to tighten against the back face. Confirm panel thickness is within this measurement before installation.
How does the ACX1341 compare to the ACX1340? The ACX1341 suits cables 5 to 10mm in diameter and requires a 16mm mounting hole, compared to the ACX1340 which suits cables 3 to 6.5mm and requires a 12mm mounting hole. The ACX1341 also has a longer thread length (15.5mm versus 7.9mm), making it suited to thicker panel installations. Select based on the cable or conduit diameter and panel hole size required.
