The OEX ACX1111/100 is a split convoluted tubing sleeve in 16.3mm internal diameter, supplied in a 100m length in black. Manufactured from fire retardant polypropylene, the split design allows cables to be inserted from the side without threading. At 16.3mm ID and 20.9mm OD with a maximum bundle size of 16.6mm, this is the largest internal diameter in the OEX split convoluted tubing range. Rated to 90°C continuous with a melting temperature of 120°C. Covered by a one year warranty.
The ACX1111/100 is the high-volume 100m roll in the OEX 16.3mm fire retardant split convoluted tubing range, suited to workshops running large quantities of wiring protection work at this size. It shares the same fire retardant polypropylene construction, internal diameter and temperature rating as the ACX1111 (50m), providing the same product in a larger supply format. This also confirms the 90°C continuous operating temperature for the 16.3mm fire retardant polypropylene range.
The fire retardant polypropylene material resists ignition and self-extinguishes if a flame source is removed. The split design allows cables to be pressed in from the side along the lengthwise opening without threading from one end, suited to retrofitting protection to installed harnesses and organising wiring runs without disconnecting connectors. With a maximum bundle size of 16.6mm, the ACX1111/100 handles heavy main wiring harnesses and large multi-cable runs that exceed the capacity of all smaller sizes in the OEX convoluted tubing range.
Split design for retrofit installation: Cables snap in from the side without threading, allowing the tubing to be added to existing wiring runs without disconnecting connectors or rerouting cables.
Fire retardant polypropylene: Resists ignition and self-extinguishes if a flame source is removed, providing an added safety margin over standard polypropylene in automotive wiring environments.
16.3mm internal diameter largest in the OEX convoluted tubing range: Accommodates large cable bundles and heavy harnesses up to 16.6mm maximum bundle diameter, suited to main vehicle wiring harnesses and thick multi-cable runs.
Black: Supplied in black, suited to standard automotive wiring presentation.
Convoluted construction: Flexible and bendable while maintaining cable protection against abrasion and chafing, suited to routing through bends and tight spaces.
90°C continuous temperature rating: Suited to automotive and underbonnet environments where sustained heat is present.
120°C melting temperature: Provides a safety margin above the continuous rating for short-duration heat exposure.
100m roll: High-volume trade format for workshops running large quantities of wiring protection work at the 16.3mm size, reducing reordering frequency over the 50m format.
One year warranty: Covered by a one year OEX warranty.

What is split convoluted tubing? Split convoluted tubing is a flexible ribbed sleeving with a lengthwise split along one side. Cables can be pressed into the split opening rather than threaded through from the end, making it easy to add protection to existing wiring without disconnecting anything. The convoluted ribbed construction gives it flexibility and abrasion resistance.
What is fire retardant polypropylene? Polypropylene is a lightweight, chemical-resistant thermoplastic commonly used for convoluted tubing. The fire retardant grade used in this product resists ignition and self-extinguishes if a flame source is removed, providing an added safety margin in automotive wiring environments over standard polypropylene sleeving.
How does the ACX1111/100 compare to the other 16.3mm options in the OEX range? OEX offers the 16.3mm split convoluted tubing across three options. The ACX1109 (10m) is corrugated polypropylene for single-vehicle jobs. The ACX1111 (50m) and ACX1111/100 (100m) are both fire retardant polypropylene. Select the ACX1111/100 for high-volume workshop operations where the 50m roll is consumed regularly and a larger supply format reduces reordering.
Is this tubing suitable for underbonnet use? Yes. The 90°C continuous temperature rating and 120°C melting temperature make it suitable for most automotive underbonnet environments. For areas with sustained extreme heat exposure, verify the ambient temperature against the tubing rating before use.
How do I cut split convoluted tubing to length? Split convoluted tubing can be cut with scissors, side cutters or a sharp blade. Cut between the ribs rather than through them for a cleaner end.
