The OEX ACX1108/150 is a split convoluted tubing sleeve in 12.6mm internal diameter, supplied in a 150m length in black. Manufactured from fire retardant polypropylene, the split design allows cables to be inserted from the side without threading. At 12.6mm ID and 15.7mm OD with a maximum bundle size of 12.8mm, it accommodates larger cable bundles than the 9.7mm range, suited to heavier wiring harnesses and multi-cable runs. Rated to 90°C continuous with a melting temperature of 120°C. Covered by a one year warranty.
The ACX1108/150 is the high-volume 150m roll in the OEX 12.6mm fire retardant split convoluted tubing range, suited to workshops running large quantities of wiring protection work at this size. It shares the same fire retardant polypropylene construction, internal diameter and temperature rating as the ACX1108 (75m), providing the same product in a larger supply format. Workshops that regularly work through 75m rolls of the ACX1108 will find the 150m format reduces reordering frequency.
The fire retardant polypropylene material resists ignition and self-extinguishes if a flame source is removed. The split design allows cables to be pressed in from the side along the lengthwise opening without threading from one end, suited to retrofitting protection to installed harnesses and organising wiring runs without disconnecting connectors. With a maximum bundle size of 12.8mm, the ACX1108/150 handles heavier wiring harnesses and multi-cable runs that exceed the capacity of the 9.7mm range.
Split design for retrofit installation: Cables snap in from the side without threading, allowing the tubing to be added to existing wiring runs without disconnecting connectors or rerouting cables.
Fire retardant polypropylene: Resists ignition and self-extinguishes if a flame source is removed, providing an added safety margin over standard polypropylene in automotive wiring environments.
12.6mm internal diameter and 15.7mm outside diameter: Accommodates larger cable bundles than the 9.7mm range, with a maximum bundle size of 12.8mm suited to heavier wiring harnesses and multi-cable runs.
Black: Supplied in black, suited to standard automotive wiring presentation.
Convoluted construction: Flexible and bendable while maintaining cable protection against abrasion and chafing, suited to routing through bends and tight spaces.
90°C continuous temperature rating: Suited to automotive and underbonnet environments where sustained heat is present.
120°C melting temperature: Provides a safety margin above the continuous rating for short-duration heat exposure.
150m roll: High-volume trade format for workshops running large quantities of wiring protection work at the 12.6mm size, reducing reordering frequency over the 75m format.
One year warranty: Covered by a one year OEX warranty.

What is split convoluted tubing? Split convoluted tubing is a flexible ribbed sleeving with a lengthwise split along one side. Cables can be pressed into the split opening rather than threaded through from the end, making it easy to add protection to existing wiring without disconnecting anything. The convoluted ribbed construction gives it flexibility and abrasion resistance.
What is fire retardant polypropylene? Polypropylene is a lightweight, chemical-resistant thermoplastic commonly used for convoluted tubing. The fire retardant grade used in this product resists ignition and self-extinguishes if a flame source is removed, providing an added safety margin in automotive wiring environments over standard polypropylene sleeving.
How does the ACX1108/150 compare to the other 12.6mm options? OEX offers the 12.6mm fire retardant split convoluted tubing in two roll lengths. The ACX1108 is supplied on a 75m roll suited to regular workshop use. The ACX1108/150 is supplied on a 150m roll suited to high-volume operations where the 75m roll is consumed regularly. Both share the same fire retardant polypropylene construction and specifications.
Is this tubing suitable for underbonnet use? Yes. The 90°C continuous temperature rating and 120°C melting temperature make it suitable for most automotive underbonnet environments. For areas with sustained extreme heat exposure, verify the ambient temperature against the tubing rating before use.
How do I cut split convoluted tubing to length? Split convoluted tubing can be cut with scissors, side cutters or a sharp blade. Cut between the ribs rather than through them for a cleaner end.
