The OEX ACX0767L is a 6mm single core automotive cable in yellow, supplied on a 100m roll. Manufactured in Australia from oxygen free high conductivity (OFHC) copper, it features a 4.59mm² conductor cross-section and a 30A continuous rating at 30°C, suited to higher-demand circuits including winch feeds, heavy accessory wiring, dual battery runs and other applications requiring substantial current-carrying capacity. The yellow PVC insulation is UV stabilised and rated to V90 (90°C). Compliant with AS/NZS 3808:2000 and RoHS.
The ACX0767L is the yellow 100m roll variant in the OEX 6mm single core automotive cable range, sharing the same conductor specification and insulation rating as the other colours in the range. Yellow cable is used in automotive and trailer wiring for marker light circuits and specific accessory feeds, and provides an additional colour identifier in complex multi-wire installations at the 6mm gauge where the primary colour set is already allocated. At 4.59mm² (11AWG) with a 30A continuous rating, the ACX0767L handles circuits where the 5mm 20A-rated cable would be undersized.
The 65-strand conductor construction provides excellent flexibility for routing through tight spaces and around bends despite the larger gauge. The UV stabilised V90 PVC insulation handles continuous operating temperatures up to 90°C for underbonnet and outdoor-exposed installations. The 100m roll suits workshops and trade installers covering multiple jobs from a single roll.
OFHC copper conductor: Oxygen free high conductivity copper minimises resistance and signal loss across the cable run, maintaining reliable electrical performance in high-current automotive and marine applications.
Australian owned and made: Premium quality copper cable produced locally to Australian automotive wiring standards.
Yellow colour coding: Yellow is used for marker light circuits and specific accessory feeds in trailer and caravan wiring, and provides an additional colour identifier in complex multi-wire installations at the 6mm gauge where primary colours are already allocated.
30A rated at 30°C: A significant step up from the 5mm range, suited to winch feeds, dual battery runs, high-current relay circuits and heavy accessory wiring in 12V and 24V systems drawing up to 30A.
UV stabilised PVC insulation: Resists degradation in sun-exposed and underbonnet environments.
V90 temperature rating: PVC insulation rated for continuous operation at up to 90°C, the standard automotive-grade insulation specification in Australia.
65-strand construction: The 65-strand conductor provides excellent flexibility and resistance to fatigue during installation and in service, maintaining good routing flexibility despite the larger cable gauge.
AS/NZS 3808:2000 compliant: Meets the Australian and New Zealand standard for insulated conductors and cables for internal wiring of equipment.
RoHS compliant: Meets hazardous substance restrictions.
100m roll: Trade-length supply for workshops and fleet installers covering multiple jobs from a single roll.

How does 6mm cable compare to the smaller sizes in the OEX range? The 6mm cable has a larger conductor cross-section (4.59mm²) and higher amp rating (30A at 30°C) than the 5mm (2.9mm², 20A), 4mm (1.84mm², 15A), 3mm (1.13mm², 10A) and 2mm (0.5mm², 5A) cables. Select the 6mm where circuits draw up to 30A, such as winch feeds, dual battery runs and high-draw accessory wiring that would exceed the capacity of the 5mm range.
What is the amp rating for this cable? This cable is rated at 30A continuous at 30°C. Ampacity decreases as ambient temperature rises, so applications in high-heat environments such as underbonnet installations should be assessed against the expected operating temperature before use.
What does V90 mean? V90 is the Australian cable insulation classification indicating the PVC insulation is rated for continuous operation at up to 90°C. It is the standard specification for automotive-grade PVC insulated cable in Australia and confirms suitability for underbonnet and outdoor-exposed installation positions.
What does AS/NZS 3808:2000 compliance mean? AS/NZS 3808:2000 is the Australian and New Zealand standard covering insulated conductors and cables for internal wiring of equipment. Compliance confirms the cable meets defined requirements for conductor construction, insulation properties and performance.
Is this cable available in other colours or lengths? OEX produces single core automotive cable in a range of colours and roll lengths across the 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm and 6mm ranges. Contact us for available colour and length options to suit your specific wiring application.
