OEX ACX05216 Low Profile Mini Blade Fuse Tap 10A Per Circuit 20A Combined with 150mm 16AWG Lead Pack of 10

The OEX ACX05216 is a Low Profile Mini blade fuse tap that adds a second protected circuit to an existing Low Profile Mini fuse position without disturbing the original. Each tap piggybacks onto an existing blade fuse slot and provides an auxiliary power feed for a new accessory circuit. Rated at 10A per circuit with a 20A combined maximum, and a 150mm 16AWG cable output terminating in an insulated joiner. Supplied in a pack of 10 with a one year warranty. Also available individually as the ACX05216BL.

Product overview

The ACX05216 is the Low Profile Mini variant in the OEX in-line fuse tap range. Low Profile Mini (also called Mini LP or APS) is a compact blade fuse format found in a wide range of modern passenger vehicles, light commercial vehicles and caravans. It sits between the Micro 2 and standard Mini fuse sizes and is identifiable by its shorter blade height compared to a regular Mini fuse. The tap fits over an existing Low Profile Mini fuse in its slot, retaining the original fuse in position so the original circuit is unaffected, while providing a second fuse position for the new accessory circuit.

The 20A combined maximum means both circuits together must not exceed 20A in total. If the original circuit fuse is rated at 10A, the auxiliary circuit should be fused to 10A or less to stay within the combined rating. A 150mm 16AWG cable exits the auxiliary fuse position and connects to the new accessory wire via an insulated joiner. The pack of 10 suits trade workshops and fleet installers working across multiple installations.

Features and benefits

Low Profile Mini blade fuse tap: Compatible with the Low Profile Mini (Mini LP or APS) fuse format used across a wide range of modern passenger vehicles, light commercial vehicles and caravans.

2-way design retaining original fuse: The tap holds the original fuse in its existing position so the original circuit remains protected, while adding an auxiliary fuse position for the new accessory circuit.

10A per circuit rating: Suited to low-draw 12V accessories including dashcams, GPS units, LED lighting accessories, USB power adaptors and hardwired radar detectors.

20A combined maximum: Both the original and auxiliary circuits together must not exceed 20A in total. Factor in the current draw of the original circuit when selecting a fuse rating for the auxiliary circuit.

150mm 16AWG cable output: A short lead exits the auxiliary fuse position and terminates in an insulated joiner for secure connection to the new accessory wiring.

No-cut installation: Adds a new fused circuit without cutting into or splicing existing vehicle wiring.

Pack of 10: Trade-friendly quantity for workshop and fleet applications.

Single unit available: The ACX05216BL is the same fuse tap sold individually in a blister pack for single vehicle installations.

One year warranty: Covered by a one year OEX warranty.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Low Profile Mini fuse? Low Profile Mini (also called Mini LP or APS) is a compact blade fuse format used in a wide range of modern vehicles. It sits between the Micro 2 and standard Mini fuse sizes and is identifiable by its shorter blade height compared to a regular Mini fuse. Confirm your vehicle's fuse type using the owner's manual or fuse box cover before purchasing.

Does the original fuse remain in place after installation? Yes. The ACX05216 is a 2-way design. The original fuse occupies one position and the new secondary fuse is added in the auxiliary slot. The existing circuit remains protected and unaffected.

What does the 20A combined maximum mean? The two circuits together, original and auxiliary, must not draw more than 20A in total. If the original circuit draws 10A, the auxiliary circuit should be fused to 10A or less to stay within the combined rating. Confirm the current draw of the original circuit before selecting an auxiliary fuse rating.

What is the 16AWG cable used for? The 150mm 16AWG cable leads from the auxiliary fuse position to an insulated joiner, providing a secure termination point to connect the new accessory wiring. The 16AWG wire is rated to handle up to the 10A per circuit fuse rating. Ensure the accessory being wired does not exceed 10A.

Is there a single-unit option? Yes. The ACX05216BL is the same fuse tap sold individually in a blister pack, suited to single vehicle installations where a full pack of 10 is not required.
