The OEX ACX05209 is a mini blade 2-way in-line fuse tap, a simple no-cut method for adding a second fused circuit to an existing fuse position in a vehicle's fuse box. The tap fits over the original blade fuse in its slot, holding the existing fuse in its original position so the original circuit continues to operate normally, while providing a second fuse position for a new accessory circuit. A 150mm, 16AWG cable output leads from the secondary fuse to an insulated joiner where the new accessory cable connects. Each tap handles up to 10A per circuit. Supplied in a pack of 10 with a one year warranty. Also available as a single unit in a blister pack as the ACX0509BL.
Adding an accessory circuit to a vehicle without cutting into the existing wiring is a common requirement for dashcam installs, USB chargers, auxiliary lighting and similar low-current accessories. The ACX05209 achieves this by sliding over an existing mini blade fuse in the fuse box, holding both the original fuse and a new secondary fuse in the same slot. The original circuit continues to operate normally through its own fuse, and the new accessory draws power through the secondary fuse position.
The secondary fuse position is rated to 10A, protecting the new accessory circuit. A 150mm 16AWG cable exits the secondary fuse and terminates in an insulated joiner for connection to the new accessory wire. The choice of fuse box slot determines when the secondary circuit receives power always-on slots supply constant power, ignition-on slots only supply power with the ignition active. The pack of 10 suits workshops, auto electricians and fleet installers working across multiple vehicles.
2-way fuse tap for no-cut accessory circuit addition: The tap sits over the existing blade fuse so both the original fuse and a new secondary fuse are held in the same slot, adding a new fused circuit without cutting into the vehicle wiring.
10A per circuit rating: Each secondary circuit is rated to 10A, suited to accessories such as dashcams, USB chargers, LED lighting and auxiliary lights drawing up to 10A.
Mini blade fuse type: Suits the mini blade fuse standard used in most modern vehicle fuse boxes. Confirm your vehicle uses mini blade fuses before purchasing.
150mm 16AWG cable output: A short lead exits the secondary fuse and connects to an insulated joiner for the new accessory wire. The 16AWG wire is rated to handle up to the 10A fuse rating.
Pack of 10: Ten taps per pack suits workshop, auto electrician and fleet use across multiple installations.
Single unit available: The ACX0509BL blister pack is available for single vehicle installations.
One year warranty: Covered by a one year OEX warranty.

What is a fuse tap and how does it work? A fuse tap slides over an existing blade fuse in the vehicle's fuse box. The tap holds the original fuse in its normal position so the original circuit continues to operate through its own fuse. The tap also provides a second fuse holder for a new accessory circuit. The secondary circuit draws power from the same fuse box slot as the original fuse, with the power state (always-on, ignition-on or accessory-on) determined by the slot chosen.
What is a mini blade fuse? Mini blade (also called APS or mini ATO) is a blade fuse standard smaller than the standard ATO/ATC blade fuse and larger than a micro fuse. Mini blade fuses are used in most modern Japanese and Korean vehicles and many European vehicles manufactured since the late 1990s. They are identified by their 10.9mm width and coloured plastic body. Confirm your vehicle uses mini blade fuses rather than standard ATO or micro fuses before purchasing.
What does the 150mm 16AWG lead connect to? The 150mm cable exits the secondary fuse position and terminates in an insulated joiner. The new accessory wire is connected to this joiner to complete the new circuit. The 16AWG wire is rated to handle up to the 10A fuse rating. Ensure the accessory being wired does not draw more than 10A.
Can I use this tap in any fuse box position? The tap can be used in any mini blade fuse position in the fuse box. Choosing the correct slot determines when the secondary circuit is powered. Always-on slots provide constant power even with the ignition off, and ignition-on slots only provide power when the ignition is active. Select a slot that matches the behaviour required for the new accessory.
What is the ACX0509BL single blister pack? The ACX0509BL is the single-unit retail blister pack version of the same fuse tap. Choose the ACX05209 10-pack for workshop, fleet or multi-installation use and the ACX0509BL for a single vehicle installation.
