Product features

Quick answer

Keep a compatible alarm audible if its main power is cut. Mongoose MSP82 combines a compact battery backup siren with two battery isolating keys.

Find related parts in our Mongoose alarm accessories for related equipment.

Its smaller housing helps in a crowded engine bay. The isolating keys let you service the vehicle battery without setting off the backup siren while the alarm stays enabled.

At a glance

  • Battery backup keeps the siren independent of main power

Frequently asked questions

Why choose a battery backup siren?

It can keep sounding if the main alarm power is disconnected, rather than going silent with the vehicle battery.

Which alarm uses MSP82 as standard?

Mongoose identifies it as the standard siren on the M80II alarm.

When would I use the isolating keys?

Use them for vehicle battery servicing so the backup siren does not activate during the work.

Do the keys switch off the whole alarm?

No. They isolate the siren battery while leaving the alarm system enabled.

What is supplied with MSP82?

The siren comes with two battery isolating keys.
