Quick answer:For Mongoose M80 alarms from mid 2011 onwards, the MRC83R is the current red LED remote. It runs on 433MHz with a single CR2032 button battery, and is not interchangeable with earlier M80 versions. Replacement case part 242183 is also available.
To code learn it on an M80II: disarm, open the driver's door so the LED flashes, turn the ignition on within 10 seconds and wait for the LED to stay solid, turn the ignition off and back on, and the siren chirps 3 times. Press arm on each remote in turn, then switch the ignition off or wait 10 seconds to finish. Some older M80 systems need the alternative process Mongoose lists.
Remotes you do not relearn in the same session are erased. This remote contains a button battery, so keep it away from children.
