Product features

Quick answer

The Mongoose MCM96P is a 9.6 inch mirror monitor kit with a heavy duty 1080P camera and 10 metres of cable, clipping over your interior mirror to show a reversing or rear view.

The Mongoose MCM96P is a 9.6 inch mirror monitor kit with a heavy duty 1080P camera and 10 metres of cable, clipping over your interior mirror to show a reversing or rear view.

A canopy, tool box or caravan blocks the centre mirror and you end up reversing on side mirrors and guesswork. With this kit the camera picture fills the mirror, and when the reverse trigger is wired it switches to the camera as soon as you select reverse.

What it does

  • 9.6 inch mirror monitor with two AHD inputs (720P or 1080P)
  • Heavy duty MC680 camera on a bracket mount, 1080P wide angle, IP69K
  • Three viewing modes: camera 1 on, camera 2 on, or mirror with camera on reverse
  • Reverse trigger overrides the mirror and shows camera 2
  • 10 metre camera cable for anything from a hatch to a van
  • Clips over your existing mirror with a rubber buffer
  • Acts as a normal mirror when the screen is off

Fitment and what comes in the box

The monitor clips over most interior mirrors, and the 12 to 24V supply suits cars through to trucks. The camera needs a flat mounting point at the rear; send us a photo of the back of your vehicle and we will suggest the spot.

Mongoose lists the MCM96P kit as:

  • 9.6 inch mirror monitor
  • MC680 heavy duty camera with bracket mount
  • 10 metre camera cable

Installation notes

Wire the reverse trigger if you want the screen to switch automatically to camera 2. A second camera with a 4 pin plug can be added on the other input for a caravan or side view.
