Product Overview
The Match UP 8BMW MK2 is the dedicated plug-and-play upgrade amplifier for BMW HiFi systems, engineered specifically for BMW E and F series models and BMW G30/G31 (pre-facelift) fitted with the factory HiFi sound system (option 676, without RAM module). All vehicles with the RAM module (from 09/2019) are excluded. The included BMW-specific Plug-and-Play connection cable and BMW-specific mounting plate enable installation at the original factory amplifier location without cutting wires or permanent modification. Note: the mounting plate is not suitable for BMW 1 Series E models.
As an MK2 generation update, the UP 8BMW MK2 adds USB-C connectivity for DSP PC-Tool 6 access and an Extension Card 2.0 slot with cross-series compatibility and screw-secured plastic cover. It is configured with DSP PC-Tool 6 including TuneEQ 2.0 and TuneToTarget for automated system calibration, and is perfectly combinable with additional MATCH UPGRADE BMW components, subwoofers, 2-way systems, center speakers, and HELIX COMPOSE loudspeakers.
The Class GD amplifier delivers 6 x 65W RMS at 4Ω on channels A-F and 2 x 75W RMS at 4Ω / 2 x 125W RMS at 2Ω on subwoofer channels G-H, with maximum output of up to 80W (A-F) and 160W (G-H) per channel. The 9-channel DSP runs on a 64-bit fixed-point processor at 295 MHz (1.2 billion MAC operations per second) with BurrBrown A/D and D/A converters, 48kHz sampling rate, SNR of 104dB from digital input and 100dB from analog input. The 6 high-level ADEP.3 inputs (2.8-11V) seamlessly interface with the BMW factory HiFi head unit's speaker outputs. The optical SPDIF input (12-96kHz) accepts digital sources. SOP Max maintains stable output power regardless of input voltage. Power Save Mode reduces consumption when no signal is detected. Operating voltage is 10.5-18V with Start-Stop capability to 6V.
