Product features

Running a winch, fridge and lights from one under bonnet battery is a big ask for lead acid. The Invicta Hybrid Extreme MAX R is the most powerful model in the Hybrid range at 1400 cold cranking amps and 800A continuous discharge, with 80Ah of lithium capacity. Invicta says the MAX is powerful enough to run a 4WD winch.

If you do run it too low, the battery management system holds a small reserve back. Press the button on top of the battery, or use the Invicta Hybrid app, and you get 30 seconds to start the vehicle.

Why it suits under bonnet use

  • Charges straight from the alternator: Invicta says the Hybrid range can be charged directly from most vehicle alternators.
  • Heat resistant build: a thermal protection layer protects the internals, and the BMS only disconnects at 80°C.

What is the CCA rating?
Invicta lists 1400 cold cranking amps for this model, with 800A max continuous discharge.

Do I need a DC to DC charger?
Invicta says the Hybrid range can be charged directly from the vehicle alternator. The recommended charge current is under 30a. If your vehicle has a smart alternator, give us a call and we can talk through your setup.

How does the jump start feature work?
The BMS automatically reserves a small amount of capacity if the main capacity is over discharged. Press the button on top of the battery, or use the app, and you have 30 seconds to start the vehicle.

Can I mount it on its side?
Invicta says its batteries can be mounted on their side, but never upside down. Under the bonnet, mount it away from direct heat sources such as the exhaust.

Why does the app show half the current I expect?
The MAX models use a dual BMS. Invicta notes that on SNLHMAX, SNLHMAXL and SNLHLN4MAX the current reading in the Hybrid app needs to be multiplied by 2.

Which version do I need?
The SNLHMAXL (Extreme MAX L) is the matching L model. Check which side the positive post sits on your current battery and match it, or send us your vehicle details before you order.
