The SNLHMAX is a 12V 80Ah hybrid Lithium Iron Phosphate starter battery rated at 1400CCA with 800A continuous current output, built on premium A123 pouch cells. It features an engineered BMS with jump start function, Bluetooth monitoring, heat resistant technology, and an IP56 rated enclosure, backed by a 3-year full replacement warranty.
The Invicta SNLHMAX is part of the Hybrid Starter Extreme range, designed to replace a standard automotive starter battery while delivering 80Ah of deep cycle capacity for running 12V accessories. Built around premium A123 Lithium Iron Phosphate pouch cells, hand-selected by Invicta's technical team for their reliability and ability to withstand high rates of discharge and charge, the SNLHMAX delivers 1400CCA for cranking large engines and 800A of continuous current for demanding auxiliary loads.
The engineered BMS operates with a wider set of parameters than standard battery management systems, allowing the battery to reach an internal temperature of 80°C before disconnecting. This provides installers and users greater flexibility when assessing application suitability and fitment. The BMS also automatically reserves a portion of capacity for the jump start function, ensuring the vehicle can always be started even after the main capacity has been depleted.
A thermal protection layer and lithium paste, unique to the A123 pouch cell construction, reduce the impact of extreme engine bay heat on the battery internals. The SNLHMAX accepts charge directly from a vehicle alternator, removing the need for an additional DC-DC charger in most standard installations. Bluetooth connectivity links to the Invicta app for real-time monitoring of key battery parameters from a smartphone.
1400CCA output with 800A continuous current: Delivers 1400CCA for reliable engine starting alongside 800A of continuous current output, handling both high-demand starting applications and sustained auxiliary loads from a single battery unit.
Premium A123 LiFePO4 pouch cells: Built using hand-selected A123 pouch cells, the same cell technology used by Mercedes and BMW, providing high-rate discharge and charge capability with inherent resistance to high heat in under-bonnet environments.
Engineered BMS with wide operating parameters: The engineered BMS operates with a wider set of parameters than standard BMS designs, allowing internal temperatures up to 80°C before disconnecting and supporting high rates of discharge and charge for greater application flexibility.
Jump start function with 30-second activation window: The BMS automatically reserves a portion of capacity for jump starting. When the main capacity is depleted, pressing the button on top of the battery releases the reserve, giving the user a 30-second window to start the vehicle.
Heat resistant technology: A specially designed thermal protection layer and lithium paste, unique to the A123 pouch cell construction, reduce the impact of extreme engine bay heat on the battery internals for reliable performance in high-temperature under-bonnet installations.
Charge directly from the alternator: The pouch cell design and engineered BMS accept the varying charge profiles delivered by standard vehicle alternators, removing the need for an additional DC-DC charger in most standard vehicle installations.
Bluetooth monitoring: Integrated Bluetooth connects to the Invicta app for real-time monitoring of key battery parameters from a smartphone, including state of charge and voltage.
IP56 rated enclosure: The battery housing carries an IP56 ingress protection rating, providing resistance to dust and water spray in exposed under-bonnet and outdoor installation environments.
Standard automotive case dimensions: Built to standard automotive case dimensions for direct drop-in replacement of existing starter batteries without modification to the battery tray or terminals.
Lightweight LiFePO4 construction: The LiFePO4 pouch cell construction delivers significantly lower weight than an equivalent lead-acid battery, reducing total vehicle weight in weight-sensitive applications.
IEC certified: Certified to IEC standards for secondary lithium cells and batteries, confirming safe operation across supported automotive and auxiliary applications.
3-year full replacement warranty: Backed by a 3-year full replacement warranty, providing long-term confidence in the product's reliability and performance across its rated service life.

What is the difference between the SNLHMAX and the SNLHMAXL?
Both the SNLHMAX and SNLHMAXL are 12V 80Ah 1400CCA hybrid lithium starter batteries built on A123 pouch cells. The SNLHMAXL supports parallel configurations up to 6P and features remote jump start activation via the Invicta app, while the SNLHMAX uses a button-activated jump start function with a 30-second activation window. Contact us for guidance on which variant suits your specific application.
How does the jump start function work on the SNLHMAX?
The engineered BMS automatically reserves a small portion of capacity for jump starting. When the main capacity is depleted and the vehicle cannot be started, pressing the button on top of the battery releases the reserve capacity, giving a 30-second window to start the vehicle.
Can the SNLHMAX handle under-bonnet heat?
Yes. The A123 pouch cell construction includes a specially designed thermal protection layer and lithium paste that reduce the impact of extreme engine bay heat. The engineered BMS allows internal temperatures up to 80°C before disconnecting, providing reliable performance in high-temperature under-bonnet environments.
Can the SNLHMAX be charged directly from a vehicle alternator?
Yes. The pouch cell design and engineered BMS are designed to accept the varying charge profiles delivered by standard vehicle alternators. No additional DC-DC charger is required in most standard vehicle installations. Contact us if you have a specific alternator setup that requires clarification.
What app is used to monitor the SNLHMAX via Bluetooth?
The SNLHMAX connects to the Invicta app for real-time monitoring of key battery parameters including state of charge and voltage. Contact us for information on downloading and setting up the Invicta app for your device.
