Product features

This is Hyper Connections 4 AWG oxygen free copper cable in frosted black, sold by the metre, for the power or ground run to an amplifier or other high current gear.

Buying a whole wiring kit to replace one short ground lead, or to make the battery run a little longer, wastes money. Here you pay for the metres the run needs and nothing more.

About the cable

Hyper Connections builds its Pro series power and ground cable from OFC copper and describes its Hyper Flex range as flexible enough to route easily while keeping enough stiffness to push through a firewall grommet. The frosted black jacket is the usual choice for the ground side, or for a full black install.

Ordering and install notes

  • Quantity 1 equals 1 metre
  • Match the fuse at the battery to the cable and the amplifier draw
  • Use 4 AWG lugs and a hydraulic or hammer crimper for the ends
  • Keep power and RCA leads on opposite sides of the car

Frequently asked questions

How do I order the length I need?

Set the quantity to the number of metres. Quantity 1 equals 1 metre, so a 5 metre ground run is quantity 5.

Is this copper or CCA?

Hyper Connections lists it as OFC, oxygen free copper, not copper clad aluminium.

What fuse should I run?

Size the fuse to protect the cable and suit the amplifier. If you are unsure, give us the amp model and we will tell you.
