The Helix V Eight DSP Ultimate is the flagship evolution of Helix's all-in-one 8-channel DSP amplifier, representing the next generation of the acclaimed V Eight DSP platform. Every element has been reimagined from the ground up, delivering a performance improvement of up to 66% over its predecessor through the adoption of an advanced TI Class HD topology that combines Class H supply rail modulation with Class D efficiency for outstanding power output with minimised heat dissipation.
The amplifier delivers 8 x 110W RMS at 4Ω with channels 5-8 capable of 220W RMS at 2Ω, and maximum output power of up to 140W per channel at 4Ω and 270W per channel at 2Ω. The 14-channel DSP runs on a 64-bit fixed-point audio signal processor at 295 MHz (1.2 billion MAC operations per second) with BurrBrown 24-bit A/D and D/A converters, 48kHz sampling rate, SNR of 107dB from digital input and 102dB from analog input, and THD+N below 0.009%.
The connectivity platform is unprecedented: 12 high-level inputs with ADEP.3 Gen 3 OEM integration circuitry (4-32V sensitivity), 6 RCA inputs (1-8V sensitivity), optical SPDIF (12-96kHz), USB PerfectStream for lossless high-resolution audio streaming at up to 192kHz/32-bit and simultaneous AISA measurement and DSP PC-Tool configuration, 8 speaker outputs, and 6 RCA outputs.
